About Us
Hi. Welcome. Make yourself comfortable. This is thé place where you can just be. Breathe.
I started my adult journey 30 years ago on the scientific side of life. As a chemical engineering student, I loved organic chemistry, carbon-based stuff. Working in the petrochemical industry for a short stint, I changed direction completely, opting for the medico-retail field of Optometry. Ten years ago I met a naturopath / iridologist in Stellenbosch, a meeting that changed my life forever. Having been exposed to allopathic medicine my whole life, with only a little bit of homeopathy and chiropractic on the side, it was eye-opening to experience natural supplementation and herbal remedies as a means to help the body from a dis-eased state back to health.
But nutrition isn't everything. What about those events and innate patterns, however big or seemingly insignificant, which the subconscious mind has absorbed and may still be reacting to 10, 20 or even 40 years down the line? What if arthritis is a toxic, emotional driven reaction of our physical body? Is it possible to have depression-like symptoms because your digestive tract is under duress due to anxiety and underlying fear(s)? Can the lower back pain you have been ex-periencing recently only be because of poor sleeping position, or is it because you can't forget or forgive something or someone having happened in the past? These are just a couple of examples of how distress and fear influences the brain and the reaction of the body on a physical level. So too can the Central Nervous System and our Emotions react and get completely out of control. To quote Anita Moorjani from her book, ‘Dying to be me’: "It was then that I understood that my body is only a reflection of my internal state"
I have always been fascinated by how the body and brain can adapt and heal after trauma, but never understood the mechanics of how. Why would Andrew get cancer after living "clean" most of his young life, and William still be healthy at old age while enjoying his daily whiskey and cigar? These are questions that we'll never be able to answer definitively, but it does highlight the possibility that there are other reasons for illness and disease, and that nutrition and environment are not the only factors to consider for wellness. Quoting Bruce Lipton: "Your perspective is always limited by how much you know..."
Specialised Kinesiology is a wonderful tool that allows you to seek out and identify the root cause in relation to any problem, and give the subconscious brain alternative ways to deal with distress in a more appropriate way. I knew from the very moment I had my first specialised kinesiology session, known as a 'balance', that I had to pursue a career in wholistic, natural & non-invasive kinesiological therapy. I have never experienced any other system that addresses such a myriad of issues more effectively, and efficiently, than specialised kinesiology. It is able to impact and effect change in key systems of the body, like the central nervous system, digestive system, hormonal systems, muscular system, etc.
Kinesiology gives me the facilitator, and you the client, the tools to find the right path, get moving again, pull your life together and deal with fears and issues. Making sure we are not suppressing anything during or after a session is what sets Specialised Kinesiology apart from any other natural healing therapy. To establish balance in the mental, emotional, physical and internal energy pathways of the body is the ultimate goal. Don't just suppress symptoms with 'modern' medication. The signs are your body's way of telling you, on a physical level, that subconsciously there is something out of place.
Trust me to guide you on your route of discovering the real you, to start the process of self healing. Enhance the true you, achieve well being on a level you have never experienced before.
Don't just exist. Live purposeful.
Breathe. Relax. Be present.
